HARMONY: Homecoming royalty crowned
WESTOVER — Harmony High School students showed their school spirit last week during homecoming week. Since Harmony does not have a football team, we show our school spirit during basketball season.
To get ready for the game, each day of the week had a fun dress up theme, including Ugly Shirt Day, Decade Day and Superhero Day.
On Friday, everyone wore blue and gold in support of the basketball teams.
The cheerleaders held a pep rally to get everyone pumped up for the games.

The homecoming court was called out to the gym floor to participate in fun games such as a three-legged race and a balloon dribble.
The pep band performed some tunes, and the high school was announced the “loudest” above the elementary after the cheerleaders helped them out with a cheer.
The boys’ basketball games started at 6 p.m. Friday. The junior varsity played first and then the homecoming court was announced. Gabrielle Hockenberry, Caitlin Roland, Breanne Stiver, Paige Weakland, Lindsay Welteroth, Barnabas Faint, Jordan Kruise, Ryan Livingston, Jeffery Schneider and Aaron White were all named to the court.
A biography was read about each student. Each student is very active in activities at Harmony, whether they are a part of band, chorus, basketball, softball, baseball, honor roll or even chess club.
Deidra Woodward, the homecoming queen last year, crowned this year’s king and queen, Jeffery Schneider and Lindsay Welteroth. Even though our basketball teams lost, the Harmony alumni had a great time supporting the teams.
