WESTOVER — It was a week full of exciting events at Harmony.

On Dec. 19, Shannon Dyda and Logan Sral had a “blackout” game for their senior project.

They have been selling T-shirts for $12 each that read “Hustle and Heart Set Him Apart,” in memory of the late basketball coach, Terry Kruise.

Students wore the shirts to the varsity boys’ basketball game against Curwensville.

With the money that was raised, Shannon and Logan will build a Terry Kruise memorabilia case, and if enough has been raised, the money will also be used for a new scoreboard for the gymnasium.

The elementary and high school bands and choirs held their annual Christmas concert this week.

The elementary band played two songs and the elementary chorus sang two songs.

After a brief intermission where audience members could buy sweet treats to benefit the music boosters, the middle school/high school band and chorus performed.

The band played three selections — “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Silent Night” and “Adventum,” which was a medley of “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” and “Carol of the Bells.”

The chorus sang three songs — “Carol of the Star,” “Carol of the Bells” and “Christmas Time is Here.”

Student council is gearing up for its candy-themed dance, “Sweet Escape.”

The decorating committee is working hard developing ideas for the dance, which will be held Feb. 1.
