on Jan. 17, the Seeds of Faith Christian Academy girls’ basketball team traveled to play First Baptist Christian Academy in Butler.

This team would be their biggest test of the season because both Seeds of Faith and First Baptist were undefeated. Both teams played hard throughout the entire game, but First Baptist pulled ahead to victory.

Halfway through the season, Seeds of Faith stands second in the SWCAC Eastern Conference, behind First Baptist.

With this being Seeds of Faith’s first game against First Baptist, the tension continues to build as the team prepares to meet them again hoping to tie for first in the East. With playoffs nearing, Gabrielle Reese, junior and starting point guard, looks forward to the competition playoffs will bring. Her team co-captain, Hannah Shirley, who scored her 1,000th point against First Baptist, is excited to work, along with the rest of the team, to bring a first-round victory in the playoffs.

The team has grown very close over the past three years and is looking forward to the NCSAA tournament in Erie.

The girls, along with their coach, continue to work hard to improve their skills and to glorify God with their every action.
