Throughout the country, you will not be able to find a student body with stronger school spirit than the one at Seeds of Faith Christian Academy. School Spirit Week Feb. 10-14 proved that. The students and faculty held back nothing as they showcased their school pride.

Spirit Week started off with Monday’s Crazy Mismatch Day. Every student, teacher and staff member made sure there was not a matching aspect in their attire that day. From stripes and plaids, to mismatching socks and earrings, the apparel of every participating member at Seeds of Faith was proudly clashing. Students did some crazy things on Mismatch Day, but the outcome did not come close in comparison to response to the next day’s Spirit Event.

On Tuesday the school held Crazy Hair/Hat Day. Students truly went all out for this day. Hot dog hats, chicken wing hats and top hats are just a few examples of the different headpieces students wore. But they did not just stop at hats; other participants showed off their school appreciation by coloring their hair and sporting various wild hairstyles.

On Wednesday, individual classes chose what they wanted to do in honor of Class Theme Day. Many of the younger classes chose the simple and well-loved theme known as Pajama Day. A lot of students were able to come to school and relax in comfortable clothing. Other exciting themes the various grades picked were Camouflage/”Duck Dynasty,” Sweatpants and Hoodie. and Nerd Day. Class theme day not only gave the students chance to show their school pride, but also their class pride.

Thursday was also a thrilling day, as the students celebrated Sports Day. Everyone came in wearing their favorite team’s/player’s jersey. Some students wore hockey jerseys, some wore basketball jerseys and many wore football jerseys. Some of student athletes wore their own jerseys, displaying their love for the Seeds of Faith Falcons.

Falcon Pride was evident on Friday as every student and staff member wore a Seeds of Faith shirt. It was a wave of green. The school was preparing for a pep rally to cheer on the basketball teams that were going to be competing that night at a home game against Champion Christian School.

That night was also going to be Senior Night, where Seeds of Faith would honor Hannah Shirley, the only graduating senior on the girls’ basketball team. Unfortunately the game was postponed due to the weather conditions and will be made up in the near future.

The school pride at Seeds of Faith Christian Academy runs deep. But really, the school pride that they have is really pride for Jesus, and what he has done. At Seeds of Faith, we all know that we would have nothing without him, so we look to glorify him in everything that we do.
