Even though Seeds of Faith Christian Academy is a small school, the students are presented with many opportunities to express their gifts and talents.

On Feb. 5-8, three Seeds of Faith students had the chance to attend District Band.

Jasmine Kendall, a 10th-grader, went to the festival and participated in the flute section.

In auditions she was placed second flute, first chair.

Her audition scores qualified her for Regional Band.

Karl Wolfe, a 10th-grader as well, played trumpet.

His audition placed him second trumpet, first chair. His scores also qualified him for Regionals.

Matt Hood, a junior, was the third student to attend, and he participated in the percussion section.

The festival was held at Punxsutawney Area High School. The students were housed by host families for the duration of the festival.

David Jeckavitch, the band director at Seeds of Faith Christian Academy, said, “I was extremely proud of the students. It was a huge stepping stone for our students to participate in such a prestigious event.”
