Catherine Ann Carroll, 92, of Lucernemines, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, White Township.
She was a daughter of Marko and Mary (Vadas) Yurmanovic, and was born Nov. 25, 1927, in Atlantic.
She was known to everyone as grandma and she was loved by so many. Catherine was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She loved her dogs, being outside with her flowers and traveling to any place where she could be near water.
She is survived by her five children: Phyllis and husband James Elliott, Homer City; Mary Catherine and husband Robert James, Indiana; John Coleman and wife LuAnn, Lucernemines; Patricia Patterson, Homer City; and Theresa and husband Carl Kovski, Greensburg; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Romanish (Pat Cribbs), Blairsville.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Coleman; second husband, Henry Carroll; son Mark Lewis Coleman; daughter Bernadette Coleman; great-granddaughter Stephanie Elliott; sister, Dorothy; and brothers, Joseph, Mark and infant Edward.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City.
A blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines site.
Interment to follow in the Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
