Elizabeth “Betty” (Gaydosh) Bochar, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana.
Born March 24, 1926, in Commodore, she was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Popik) Gaydosh. She was the widow of John Bochar, who died April 21, 2000.
Betty was a member of Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, Indiana. She was the first of her 10 siblings to graduate Commodore High School. Her house was always open for family when she lived in Ohio, where she loved tending to her flower gardens. Betty had a passion to travel with her husband and sister. It was very often you saw the two sisters always together.
She is survived by brothers, John Gaydosh and wife Lena, and Edward Gaydosh; sisters-in-law, Sally and Helen Gaydosh; along with 22 nieces and nephews.
Betty was predeceased by brothers and sisters: Mary Macek, Joseph Gaydosh, Veronica Van Wert, Rosella Fedorinko, Anna Likavec, Margaret Hostacky, Andy Gaydosh, Mike Gaydosh and sister-in-law, Patty Gaydosh.
Friends will be received today from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Parastas Service beginning at 7 p.m. at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer. Her funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church in Indiana, with the Very Rev. Archpriest George Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s cemetery.
