Esther Marie Loughner Bankage, 82, of Conemaugh Township (Foster), passed away at her home on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Monday, Jan. 25, 1937, in Slickville, the daughter of the late Walter and Viola Blanche Richey Loughner.
She loved bingo, cooking, baking, the Pirates and Steelers games, trips to the casino and country and polka music.
Esther is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Mario Leo Bankage; four daughters: Annette Baker and her husband, Mark, of Avonmore; Lisa Stiles and her husband, Timothy, of Shelocta; Marla Corder and her husband, David, of Saltsburg; and Susie Young and her husband, Artie (Jr.), of Saltsburg; five grandchildren: Joseph Bedick, of Saltsburg, Mandi Ewing and her husband, Brad, of Clarksburg, Matthew Bedick, of Natrona Heights, Megan Stiles and her fianc￩, Jason Oskey, of Shelocta, and Zachary Stiles, of Shelocta; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Loughner, of Baytown, Texas and Henry Loughner and his wife, Tammy, of Mamont; two sisters, Willomenia Loughner, of Tennessee, and Ellen Hainen and her husband, John, of Slickville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and John Loughner, and a sister, Vivian Shearer.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Daniel Carney officiating. Interment will follow in Iselin Union Cemetery, Iselin.
