Frances Delilah (Clawson) Gordish, 99, of Blairsville (Derry Township), died on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, in Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, Indiana.
She was the daughter of Wallace E. Clawson and Delilah (Hullenbaugh) Clawson; she was born on Feb. 2, 1921, in Moween.
Frances was a member of the SS. Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville.
She liked solving word search puzzles and watching QVC and HSN.
She is survived by her children: Gloria Marron (Joseph), of Blairsville; Kenneth Gordish (Judy), of Canal Winchester, Ohio; and Alan Gordish (Margie), of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Gordish, who died in 1984; brothers Norman Clawson, Lloyd Clawson, Russell Clawson and Archie Clawson; sisters Anna Mae Sherrard, Susan McKeever, Cora Hill, Violet Hogue, Virginia Horrell and Myrtle Coffman; and grandchildren Maureen Moss and Mark Marron.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the Shoemaker Funeral Home Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. Prayers of transfer will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in SS. Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, with Father Stephen R. Bugay the celebrant.
Interment will be in SS. Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville.
Due to the pandemic, only 25 people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time. Be prepared to wait in line until others leave.
