Janice L. Deabenderfer, 43, of Indiana, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born in Indiana in 1976 to Blaine L. and Anna M. (Prokay) Deabenderfer Sr.
Janice was a graduate of Marion Center High School and attended the Church of the Resurrection in Clymer. For several years she worked as a nanny. Janice enjoyed baking and loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, who were the biggest joy in her life.
An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she named her beloved chocolate lab Duncan Hines Ward.
Janice is survived by six siblings: Beverly (Mike) Jewart, of Penn Run; George (Kathi) Deabenderfer, of Commodore; Brenda Smith, of Indiana; Blaine (Frances) Deabenderfer Jr., of Leland, N.C.; Douglas Deabenderfer, of Indiana; and Darla (Rick Johnson) Powell, of Ernest; four nieces; six nephews; two great-nieces; four great-nephews; her beloved pets: Moxie, her cat, and Duncan, her dog; as well as many friends.
In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Larry Smith.
At the family’s request, there will be no visitation.
A memorial Mass will be offered for Janice at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer.
Private interment will take place in the Church of the Resurrection Cemetery.
