Jerry Allan Tanner, 58, of Clymer, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown due to injuries sustained June 17 in a car accident.
He was a son of Sara “Sally” (Hogan) and Bill Ashbaugh, of Indiana, and was born Dec. 10, 1961, at Quantico Naval Hospital, Quantico, Va.
Jerry was a graduate of Penns Manor High School. He worked as a sales representative for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and Pepsi Cola, and most recently for Strongstown’s B & K Enterprises Inc. He spent his leisure time watching football on TV and visiting with his friends.
He is survived by his parents; a sister, Melanie; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his father, Tom Tanner; his former wife, Anna, and her daughter, Jen Jackson, and grandchildren Olivia and Johnny.
Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents; two uncles; two aunts; and a cousin, David L. Hogan.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at McCabe-Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer. Jerry’s funeral service will be held by Pastor Paul Wallace at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Montgomery Cemetery. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
