Michael Sean McCoppin, 37, of Homer City, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on July 3, 1982, in Columbus, Ohio, to Charlie McCoppin and Suzie (Milner) Lakatosh.
Michael was a 2000 graduate of Homer-Center High School. He took his time getting the full college experience and after seven long years, he earned his bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Michael was a specialist in the United States Army and was very proud of his service. He loved traveling abroad, watching the Steelers, sport shooting, collecting cherry Chapstick, overusing baby powder, scratching lottery tickets and spending quality time with his family and friends. Michael touched many hearts in his short time here and taught us all how to laugh our way through life. He believed that one act of kindness may not change the world, but it could change someone’s world.
