Nancy A. Silk, 82, of New Florence, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Oct. 5, 1936, in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late William and Thelma (Shirley) McKinney.
Nancy was also preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Edward L. Silk; son Jim Silk; brothers and sisters Sherman “Billy”; Vivian “Betty” Shaftic; George “Dip”; Paul “PJ”; Mary Burkley; Clifford; Harold; Harry; Shirley “Rene” McKinney; and John Ronald.
She is survived by children Bill “Bear” Silk and wife Barb (Paynter), Brush Valley; Tom Silk and wife Pat (Payne), Strongstown; Cindy Allshouse and husband Eric, New Florence; Susie Allshouse and husband Tim, New Florence; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Sondra Boring, Bolivar, and Salley Gademsey, Blairsville; and numerous nieces and nephew.
Nancy enjoyed sewing, quiting and doing puzzles and going bowling. She relished trips to the casinos and playing poker. Most of all she loved her family and the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At Nancy’s request there will be no public viewing and a private service. Interment will be at Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
