Terrence A. Halleran, 81, of Penn Run, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2020, surrounded by his family at his residence.
He was born in 1938 in Butler to Clarence and Elizabeth (Herman) Halleran.
Terry was a member of Indiana Alliance Church. He was a godly man and a servant of the Lord. He volunteered for many years at Indiana Regional Medical Center and at several churches.
He enjoyed reading, learning, woodworking, making people laugh and fixing anything and everything he could.
Terry began his career in the United States Navy and retired after 20 years at U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Hess) Halleran; his children: Elizabeth Smith, Gregory (Ruth) Halleran, Christopher (Michelle) Halleran, Scott (Rachel) Halleran and Lynn (John) Markward; and stepchildren, Amy Skamai (George) and Tim Clark (Marcela). He was a loving grandfather to 28 grandchildren, great-grandfather to 18 great-grandchildren and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Kathleen Carey Halleran; his siblings: Clarence Halleran, Elizabeth Helbling, Patricia Palermo, Mary Schmidt, Joyce Mahoney, Helen Moretti and John Halleran; and one grandchild.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
