Thomas Everette Lydick, 78, of Clymer, unexpectedly died Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at his home.
Born April 26, 1941, in Clymer, he was a son of Roy and Flora (Hullenbaugh) Lydick.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Italy. Following his tour of duty, Thomas became a lifetime member in the American Legion. He later joined the National Rifle Association.
During his working career, he worked a number of years at Levinson’s Department Store in Clymer before going to McCreary Tire in Indiana. Most recently he was employed by Service Master in Indiana.
Surviving are his brothers and sisters: Gladys Lydick, Clymer; George Lydick, Penn Run; Christina Kyrouac and husband, Ken, Bourbonnais, Ill.; Roger Lydick and wife, Rose, Clymer; Raymond Lydick and wife, Pat, Indiana; and Dorothy Harbrige and husband, Bob, Commodore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Goldie Lydick; an infant sister, Barbara Ann; and another infant sister.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home in Clymer, where a funeral service with Pastor Kim Betz will begin at 6 p.m.
Interment will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
