Virginia S. Campbell, 90, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Kutztown Manor, where she was a guest.
Virginia was born July 16, 1929, in Blairsville, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Mary (Clawson) Swasy.
On July 21, 1951, she married Donald D. Campbell, who preceded her in death in 2010.
She was a 1946 graduate of Blairsville High School. She worked as a beautician in a beauty salon in Derry until she started to raise her family.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Northumberland.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David Dean and Margaret Campbell, of Northumberland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Lynn and Thomas Kemery, of Reading; and Linda Lee and Glenn Smith, of Boyertown; four grandchildren: Ashley, Adam, Nathan and Weston; four great-grandchildren: Collin, Connor, Aiden and Colton; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Charles and Clark Swasy; and four sisters: Carolyn Dunlap, Ruth Carlson, Mary Lois Yelenic and Margaret, in infancy.
Friends and family may visit Friday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland. A graveside service will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland, with the Rev. Leslie Halchak officiating.
