William John “BJ” Ward, 33, of Seneca, formerly of Home, went missing June 29, 2017, and was discovered Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019.
A son of Karen (Behune) Shish, he was born Nov. 28, 1983, in Indiana. BJ attended Marion Center Area High School. As an Ace Certified Painter, he loved auto body.
He loved his family with all of his heart. BJ enjoyed throwing darts, shooting pool, hunting, fishing, camping and anything that involved the outdoors. He also loved and was obsessed with collecting Hot Wheels cars and loved dirt track and NASCAR racing.
BJ is survived by his mother, Karen (Behune) Shish (Mark Watterson), of Home; his sister, Amanda (Eric) Lingenfelter, of Creekside, and their children, Kylie and Tyler; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Behune, of Home; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Parker John Edward Ward, on March 31, 2016; his maternal grandfather, John Behune Jr., on Jan. 9, 2018; and his uncle, John Edward Behune, on Dec. 28, 2003.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by a memorial service at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home Inc., 724 W. Main St., Rural Valley.
