Letter to Editor 14

I was most perplexed and discouraged by The Associated Press article concerning Robert Fuller’s suicide.

The article gave the impression that all of his friends and the Catholic Church not only approved of his decision, but celebrated it by being at his demise. This is so far from what the Catholic Church and its parishioners could possibly approve. We true Catholics disapprove of physician-assisted termination as well as suicide.

As an educated Catholic, Mr. Fuller would certainly have known this teaching.

Why the Gazette would give so much full coverage in an area where such activity is illegal, I find difficult to fathom.
