Letter to Editor 04

Driving north on Indian Springs Road and passing through the traffic light at Rustic Lodge Road, I saw in the distance the beautiful display of American flags waving in the breeze.

As I approached, I was appalled to see the advertising billboards placed in front of our national banner.

To me that was a disgrace, nothing is to be placed on or in front of the American flag, especially for advertisement — it violates flag etiquette and respect.

Those with names on the billboard apparently wanted a pat on the

back for being responsible for the display.

Some that paid the ultimate price to keep our flag waving never got recognition.

Enough said.
