Letter to Editor 19

So many times we only hear only bad things about nursing homes. I would like to tell of the wonderful treatment I received at Scenery Hill Manor.

Due to complications from diabetes, I was a resident at Scenery Hill for four and a half months.

I would like to commend Cathy Williams, administrator, and also Dan (finances), Kayla (social services), Stacy (activities), Denise (physical therapy), Tom (shuttle driver), and all the nurses and aides.

They all went above and beyond the call of duty.

There was always a smiling face to lift my spirit when I was down.

Since my immediate family lives five hours away, the staff and aides became my temporary family.

Not only did they treat my physical needs, but also took care of my religious needs by scheduling weekly Communion visits from St. Bernard’s and also having Rosary and Stations of the Cross.

So if anyone finds a necessity for skilled nursing care, I strongly recommend Scenery Hill Manor.
